For something that's aluminum, the chair is quite sturdy and heavy and feels like it will last a good twenty years or more. The rocking motion is comfortable, though a bit disconcerting at first as the chair leans quite far back. The one thing I would replace would be the cushions. The chair comes with one thin brown cushion that offers almost no padding.
